9th Degree Black Belt

Chief Master Arcemont has trained in the martial arts for over 40 years! He began his martial arts training in Jackson, Mississippi in 1981. After moving to Atlanta in 1983 to begin teaching Taekwondo, he opened the Kennesaw School in 1984. He received his first-degree black belt in 1983 in Taekwondo (TKD) and most recently earned the rank of 9th degree Black Belt in July of 2023.

Next year (July of 2024) he will be promoted to the final title of Grand Master Instructor. Chief Master Arcemont has also been training in Brazilian Jui Jitsu (BJJ) since the mid-'90s and holds a Black Belt in that style as well. In 2001 he became a certified Instructor in Krav Maga. Krav Maga focuses on self-defense only and is the official combat system of the Israeli Defense Forces.It is used by many law enforcement agencies as well as our elite military units.

Chief Master Arcemont's school was one of the first official Krav Maga training facilities in the state of Georgia; he helped pioneer Krav Maga in Georgia.

Since opening the Kennesaw location in 1984 he has trained thousands of students with many of them going on to become black belts. His highest ranking student is a 7th-degree black belt Senior Master Instructor. During that time he has trained State, District, and National Champions. He has also trained over 35 World Champions in all areas of competition.

Chief Master Arcemont has received many awards throughout his long career. What he is most proud of is the accomplishment of his students and the school. This school has had many of its students go on to be highly successful in their lives outside of the martial arts. You will often hear Chief Master Arcemont say "Black Belts always do their best, being a Black Belt isn't a sometimes thing it's an all the time thing, in everything we do, we do it our best we do it like a Black Belt."
